I Tried Travefy, and Now I Get the Hype: 7 Reasons Travel Advisors Should Give It a Try

Every once in a while, I come across a travel advisor tool that makes me wonder why I waited so long to really look into it.

Travefy is one of those tools.

I recently partnered with Travefy, but before I tell you about the discount they gave me to share with you, I want to tell you why I’m actually excited about it.

Because I’m not interested in recommending something to you just because there’s a referral link attached (though that is a nice bonus!).

I started digging into Travefy, playing around with the different features, and seeing how much you can actually do inside one platform, and I kept having the same reaction:

Oh. This is useful.

Then I’d find another feature.

And another.

And eventually I understood why so many travel advisors use it.

If you’re currently juggling your CRM, itineraries, client forms, invoices, commissions, emails, Canva designs, spreadsheets, and seventeen browser tabs that you’re afraid to close because you might need that hotel again, this is for you.

Here are the seven things that stood out to me most.

1. It Actually Feels Like It Was Made for Travel Advisors

This is probably the biggest thing for me.

There are plenty of business platforms that you can make work for a travel business.

Travefy feels like somebody actually sat down and said, “What does a travel advisor need from the moment a client reaches out until they come home?”

Your client information, proposals, itineraries, forms, invoices, commission tracking, emails, automations, landing pages, and more can all live in the same ecosystem.

And personally, anytime I can eliminate another spreadsheet or login, I’m interested.

You can start with a lead, collect their information, create their proposal, turn it into an itinerary, communicate with them, send forms, track payments, and eventually keep track of your commission.

That’s a LOT less bouncing around.

2. The Itineraries and Proposals Look GOOD

Listen, I’m an aesthetics person so I care about this.

You can spend hours planning an incredible trip, but if the proposal you send looks like it came straight out of a 2007 Word document, it takes away from the experience. Trust me.

Travefy’s proposal tools let you create polished, branded proposals that actually feel worthy of the vacation you’re selling.

You can even compare multiple trip options side by side.

So if your client is deciding between three resorts, two room categories, or completely different destinations, you can present those choices in a way that’s easy to understand instead of sending them six emails and hoping they remember which hotel had the swim up room.

And when something changes?

You can update the live proposal.

You know exactly what I mean.

3. You Don’t Have to Keep Rebuilding the Same Trips From Scratch

This is where I started thinking about how much time this could save.

Travefy connects with more than 200 suppliers, including cruise lines and tour operators, and it has tools that can help pull booking information and content into your trips.

You can also create your own content library.

So that hotel you love recommending?

Save it.

That excursion you’ve booked five times?

Save it.

Destination information you constantly send clients?

Save it.

The more you use the system, the more useful your own library becomes.

And that is much better than trying to remember, “Wait…where did I save that description?”

4. The CRM Understands That Your Clients Are Travelers

This sounds obvious, but it matters.

A regular CRM knows that your client is Sarah Smith.

A travel CRM should know that Sarah prefers nonstop flights, needs a king bed, hates early morning departures, is celebrating an anniversary, and traveled to Jamaica with you last year.

Travefy’s CRM is designed around actual travel clients and trips.

You can keep things like preferences, trip history, forms, custom fields, tasks, communications, and other client information together.

You can also create forms for things you probably already collect, including traveler information, preferences, passport details, credit card authorizations, terms and conditions, and signatures.

If you’ve ever had to search your email because you know a client told you their passport expiration date somewhere, you immediately understand the appeal.

5. It Helps With the Part Nobody Posts on Instagram: Getting Paid

Beautiful itineraries are great.

But we are also running businesses.

Travefy includes invoicing and commission tracking, which immediately caught my attention because commission tracking can get messy very quickly.

You can create branded invoices, set payment schedules, track payments, and keep up with commissions.

That means fewer random notes saying:

  • “Check commission from resort.”
  • “Did cruise line pay yet?”
  • “Follow up Friday.”
  • “Actually what booking was this?”

If you know, you know.

Having your client and trip information connected to the financial side of the booking just makes sense.

6. Your Clients Get Their Own Travel App

This is one of those features that makes your business feel more polished without requiring you to do something dramatically different.

Your travelers can access their itinerary through the Travefy mobile app, including important trip information, flight updates, documents, and itinerary details.

There’s also offline access.

That is a BIG deal when your client is somewhere with unreliable WiFi or international cell service.

Instead of telling your traveler, “Go back through your email and look for the PDF I sent three months ago,” their trip information is literally right there, in the palm of their hand!

And honestly, that just feels more professional.

7. I Kept Finding Features That Would Normally Require Another Subscription

This is probably what surprised me most.

I initially thought of Travefy primarily as an itinerary builder.

It is definitely that.

But then there’s the CRM.

  • And forms.
  • And automations.
  • And invoicing.
  • And commission tracking.
  • And email integration.
  • And the client app.
  • And landing pages.
  • And website tools.
  • And supplier integrations.

At some point I realized this wasn’t really an itinerary builder anymore.

It was becoming a travel business platform.

That doesn’t automatically mean Travefy is the right choice for every advisor. TravelJoy, Tern, and other competitors all have features worth comparing based on how you run your business.

But if your goal is to bring more of your business into one place, I’m telling you, Travefy deserves a serious look.

And Now for the Part You’re Probably Going to Like

Because I recently partnered with Travefy, I have a referral discount I can share with you.

Travefy’s current referral terms will give you 25% off your first three months when paying monthly.

But here’s something even better.

The referral discount can also apply to your first annual subscription.

The current Core annual price is $468, which works out to $39 per month.

With 25% off, you’d save:

$117

That brings your first year down to:

$351

So if you try Travefy and decide, “Yep, I’m keeping this,” the annual option could give you a pretty nice first year discount.

My Take?

I completely understand why Travefy has become so popular with travel advisors.

It takes a lot of the little pieces of running a travel business and brings them together in a way that actually makes sense.
